Tomorrowland: the real thing?

Interesting in the days of the final episode of Mad Men to have another epic Coke commercial. I was actually surprised at the end when the United Colors of Benneton collection of geniuses and believers in the wheat field didn't burst into a rendition of "It's the Real Thing." George Clooney has teleported in from Syriana and Hugh Laurie is a Bunyanesque allegorical figure of Cynic (who looks like House in the uniform of The Little Prince). And why are all those robots from the future trying to kill people whose efforts to save the world are irrelevant anyway? All of that said, I actually enjoyed it, especially the two great kid female leads.EW: Tomorrowland--The Reviews are In

Plus ça change

"The time is fast approaching when Christianity will be almost as openly disavowed in the language as in fact it is already supposed to have disappeared from the conduct of men; when infidelity will be held to be the necessary appendage of a man of fashion, and to believe will be deemed the indication of a feeble mind and a contracted understanding." William Wilberforce, A Practical View... (1797), 375.
